Born and educated in the Philippines, Jon Cuyson has participated in group exhibitions in New York and abroad since 2004. His works employ different techniques and media including texts, photographs, painting, artist books, set design, sculpture, video, and installation. In March 2006, he participated in the Skowhegan Artist Residency in Maine while exhibiting in various institutions such as the Bronx Museum and the Sculpture Center. His works investigate and interrogate the intersections of art, history, and identity related to the Filipino diaspora. Jon Cuyson received an MFA from Columbia University in 2010 and currently lives and works in Manila.
